Today, you will make a Haiku poem.
Haiku is a traditonal Japanese poetry.
Haiku consists of 3 lines.
The first and last lines have 5 syllables and the middle line has seven syllables.
The lines rarely rhyme.
Because Haikus are such short poems, they are usually written about things that are recognizable to the reader like animals and seasons.
Here's a Haiku to help you remember:
I am first with five (5 syllables)
Then seven in the middle (7 syllables)
Five again to end. (5 syllables)
